| Story Descriptions The Deadlock - Set upon Darcy's return from London after Jane and Bingley's Engagement. E lizabeth and Darcy accidently become locked in the Netherfield Library over night. (Some licence has been taken with the timing of Jane's illness.) Seeds of Doubt - Elizabeth begins to question her easy acceptance of Wickham's representation of the Darcys, when Georgiana accompanies her brother on the Easter visit to Rosings and proves rather different to expectations. Overhearings More to the Purpose - Providence, in the form of an interruption from Charlotte, causes Elizabeth to miss Darcy's 'tolerable' comment at the Meryton Assembly. A different overhearing at the Lucas's though, alerts her to the fact that he does find her physically attractive. Flight of Fancy - Seated together on a cross-continental flight, Darcy and Elizabeth hit it off right away. It seems unfortunate that he didn't think to at least get her name and number. An Appropriate Education - As a young teacher, and Year Advisor, Elizabeth has had to deal with her share of difficult parents. Georgiana's brother though, appears more difficult than most. A Summer Diversion - Is a short summer romance enough on which to base a long term relationship? Connections - How might things have been different if Mrs Bennet died when she miscarried Lydia? |

| A little bit about me: It probably gives away too much about my age if I admit to first reading Jane Austen almost 25 years ago... and I still find myself captivated by her wonderfully insightful portrayals of character and human nature. I love the understated humour, her delightful use of irony, the underlying intelligence and rationale behind her stories, and (of course) the romance. I'm a mother of four, and manage to quite effectively fill time left to me in voluntary work at my church and part time university. I love reading, and thoroughly enjoy my JA internet addiction. |
